Posted July 8, 200618 yr Hey guys... Many of you know about my situation with Tango, who is going to a great home. My mom and i had a talk tonight, and she said i am allowed to get a new bird, as she knows how much i loved Tango, and we are unable to keep her for certain curcumstances... So, ive looked around at a few sites, and found this one: http://www.greatparrots.com/Budgies.html Tame, greatly coloured baby budgies for only $15!!! Isnt that great! They say they are located in South Western Ontario, which is where i am, so i emailed them, to ask where they are located. If they are an hour or less away, i will see what they have via pictures first, then if i like one, ill venture out to get her. Im looking for a female to breed with my 3 males, and Tango was my 6th bird, and 3rd hen, making me have 3 pairs. So, as Tango will be gone tomrrow to LisaChromis [ ] thats the reason im getting a hen, to fill in the last pairing, so ill have 3 pairs again. I will keep you posted, and i hope this works out in the end... Im just very thankful Tango is going to a great loving home, and will live out the rest of her young life being spoiled to death with Lisa and her wonderful family... Kirby
July 8, 200618 yr Author Whoaaa!!!! . . . I just spent over 1 hour, and 45 minutes emailing over 14 budgie breeders in my area My eys, neck, and back hurts from typing, and searching, (Laughing out loud) I found some really good breeders within an hour of me, and they seem GREAT! This one lady breeds yellow faced spangles in her shed that has been converted for her birds.. its 14 feet x 25 feet ! ! ! (Laughing out loud)... with the majority being budgie flights and breeding cages So, i will DEFINATELY keep you guys posted, and LisaChromis is coming today (in 2 hours actually) to get Tango... This is a bitter sweet day . . . Kirb
July 8, 200618 yr Good luck Kirby! After emailing so many, & spending so long at the computer, it's easy to get confused!! You get a little bit of a 'brain drain' after a while!! It's fantastic that you have so many breeders within an easy-ish distance of you! Gives you lots of choice, & hopefully you'll find the right bird for you! Good Luck!!! Cheers, Tracey
July 8, 200618 yr Author Thanks Max, that was very nice of ya! I got one reply back already! What a quick guy he is! (Laughing out loud). Hes got English budgies in green, blue and grey, and has just started breeding for the showing season! The thing is, they are $40 EACH, and i only have American budgies... So i dunno if it would look weird to have 5 American budgies, and 1 big English budgie... (Laughing out loud). I know Nerwen bred his American to an English, and the babies were a perfect size.... So thats whats keeping me wanting an English... Unless i can persuade my mom into letting me get 2 new, then i can breed English to English (Laughing out loud). Will keep ya posted from the breeder, plus the other 11 i eamiled (Laughing out loud). ALSO!!! Lise and Ken (her Hubby) came to get my lil Tango baby today... It was bitter sweet, but they are VERY nice people, that will without a doubt take amazing care of her....So im happy, and i hope they are too! They should be home by now, so ill wait for a progress PM from Lisa to see how Tangos doing so far... (Laughing out loud)... I kinda miss her already She was adorable Kirby
July 9, 200618 yr Got the update in the photo section of course. Was very nice meeting you and your mother today. She must be very understanding if you'll be able to get another budgie so soon after getting rid of one. (Laughing out loud) She's a very cute budgie and I can't wait to see how she fits in when she's comfortable here.
July 9, 200618 yr :ausb: Hey Kirby, are you SURE you want another budgie? What if the new budgie had the personality of Tango, food to think upon. :bluebudgie:
July 9, 200618 yr Author (Laughing out loud) Lisa... Yes she is understanding! She was even the one to allow me to. She knows how much i loved/love Tango, and she knows how disapointed i am that this all happened :ausb: The conversation actually was like this. My mom said "Since i know you loved Tango, ill buy you a new budgie when she goes, after we move becuase i dont want to move a baby budgie, thats to much stress...". I was like "REALLY!!! Thansk mom! But what if this happens again, which i doubt, i just want to give them some time first...". Then she was like "Yes, which is why im saying not for another 3 weeks... you can start looking, but we both know we should wait a few weeks". Then me "Yea, i dont want to rush them, plus moving the baby to a new house during quaranteen is scary for her, and i also want my birds to have time to relax e.t.c.". Then we just went on about if same happens again, and she said "If anything like this happens again, ill let you setup a 2nd cage for the problem bird, okay? Just one though!"" (Laughing out loud).... So, we are waiting until Early Agust, so around the 5th-10th.... I will keep you posted guys, and yes Lisa, she will calm down, and truely be a female version of Bea's Blinky... with time of course :bluebudgie: Kirby

This is a bitter sweet day :fear . . . Kirb Kirby, If you end up buying from the lady with the shed, can you ask her if you can take some pics. I would consider something like that instead of an aviary which probably won't work so well in Canada. Can't wait to see what you get. You know I love yf spangles!!!
July 9, 200618 yr Hey Kirby, I'm soooo excited for you... I hope you find a bird that is just perfect for you and your love budgie!! GOOD LUCK!!
July 9, 200618 yr Author Thanks guys! Shawna- I just got a reply from 'Shed Lady' (Laughing out loud), named Karen Long... and all her birds are done breeding for the season, except one last pair. She said her baby yellow faced spangle babies went to new home yesterday, and her last pair to breed is a lutino hen x cobalt cock that creat lutinos, albinos, blues, and occasioanlly pieds... But there is a waiting list, and im the 9th one.... So ill have to wait least a year So, im looking into the other 11 breeders i emailed... so far Karen and Steve another breeder e-amiled me back, buts its only been 24 hours, so ill just have to be patient. I REALLY want a dominant pied... But will most definately get a yellow faced spangle as you know how much i love them to And shawna about the pics, she said she wont take pics, she wants peoeple to visit her in person... but if i do go, ill try and take some for ya okay? Lovey- Thanks!!! I'm going to take my time for searching for my perfect hen to breed with my violet spangle male I just want to hear from other 10 breeders, and see whats up... Thanks for good luck sent from you, and when i get the new hen, ill take tons of pics for ya guys! I just gotta find a good breeder, and babies now! I hope at least some breeders will have babies for sale Early August? Do you think they will or.....? Shoot, i just thought of that, what if all the breeders stopped for season, and there are no babies until next year If so, im going to buy from petshop that i got my 1st budgie from. Its celan, has healthy, gorgeous babies.... honestly the most stunnign shades ive ever seen for only $19.99 unlike the $25.99 they normally are! There was even a spangle at this store yesterday... and a gorgeous yellow faced grey hen that i wanted! :fear What babies would i get if i bred a yellow faced grey hen to violet spangle cock? Would i get grey nromals, violet/mauve/cobalt normals, yellow faced blue normals, and yellow faced spangles?!?!?! If so, i might get one like her. They always have yellow faced birds at this store, and most have the pied spot on back of head. Thanks guys! Kirby
