Afternoon All,

 

It would be almost impossible to consider an outdoor avairy in our area for several reasons. The main one being the fact that 9-10 months of the year it would probably be too cold for them. Our home backs onto a bush area as well, so there would be all kinds of wildlive interested in the birds as well.

I have found that the birds love being taken outdoors in their cages to the front step. They chatter back and forth with the numerous birds in the area and enjoy the warm day and fresh air.

I like hauling my cages out onto the patio as well but today it is too hot! The birds really love it as the outside birds call to them and sometimes land on the patio railing (I have tons of outside birds as I have 2 feeding stations and 3 bird baths). Do have to keep an eye on them and under the patio canopy as there are a lot of sharp shinned hawks about. (size of a pigeon)
