I've had to duct tape the dang things! Woodie, would dig into the food and then be so crafty as to push the cup and let it fall on the rug. I have a rug where their cage is set on so it doesn't require vaccuuming the carpet when they make bird messes--such as food stuff. Anyway, the girl is so dang crafty I almost know SHE was the one who did it and not Cloud. Cloud doesn't do stuff like digging with feet into the feeder cups.

Of course today they will be getting a larger home and more space to run around and chase each other in. Girl budgies are crafty...just an FYI. Grrrrrrrr...

Fez is going the same thing with the pellet dish! It's driving me crazy!

Same problem with Princess Coco, had to abandon my usual feeding/water/treat containers which are easy to clean and get indestructable ones and everything else is clipped down with those metal clips as best I can. She must be terribly strong as well as when she is out and on the play center, she goes to the adjacent shelf where I keep jars of treat food, extra food dishes, etc. and everything lands up on the floor with a big bang!

My lovebirds do this all the time too Little brats

I dont think it's a girl thing. I have boys that do this too.

Maybe Olly IS a girl, i had to change my water dish coz Olly would flick it up and down all day the noise was the worst just this, ting ting ting ting!!! :devil: evil birds!!!!!

(Laughing out loud), this thread made me smile. the only way I can stop some of budgies is to get humongous feeders that they can not physically move!!! then of course, they just burry themselves in the food or water and make a mess of things.. can't win can we!! (Laughing out loud)
