Does anybody know a single treatmet for birds that control mites

scaly face, worms etc.

I guess it would come from a vet, and I heard you just put a drop

on the back of the neck.

Heres hoping

Paul

I can't think of the name of it Paul, but I know the vet at Wattle Grove stocks it (Welshpool Rd)

It's invermectin but the one stocked at Wattle Grove vets is one he makes up himself (avian vet). Costs $9 for a bottle and does many birds. You still have to treat for worms I think though. This medicine gets all the rest. I have used it and it is very good.

Are you looking to prevent mites or to treat ones that are already there?

I'm pretty sure ivermectin does both anyway. :)

It does, but it's not recommended for birds unless you know the mites are there. It's essentially a pesticide and you know how sensitive birds can be to pretty much anything, especially chemicals.
