Raibow and Bluey have their 2nd clutch of eggs, so far the total is 8. Her last clutch was 6 - all survived

Can they handle 8 if they all hatch (1st due 1st July).

 

Blondie is sitting on 4.

 

1. Sould I take some eggs from Rainbow and put with Blondie?

2. Should I wait to see how many hatch, then put some with Blondie

3. Leave well enough alone

 

any advice will be appreciated. I've having a 24/7 mental blank lately.

eight is a lot but they could handle them how long since the first clutch if the second clutch is straight after the first then i would foster out either 3 eggs or chicks. are they due to hatch around the same time if possible i like to foster chicks not eggs and only when they have been ringed so i know which is from which clutch also if you foster chicks and wait you will be able to see if all the eggs hatch if some dont then you wont need to foster at all

The clutches are very close together, about 2 days apart from each other. So I'll try to foster the chicks
