When i was at school a few years back we learn't that to check an egg if it was good and fertile when placed in water it would sink to the bottom. if the egg bobbed on top of the water it was off. and infertile.

Is this true and is this the right prosedure in checking if eggs are good or not.

i wouldnt recommend it althouth i have heard of it as well i think i will stick to candling
