Posted June 15, 200619 yr okay so I have been having problems with my budgie Theo for about 3 months now. He has been to an avian vet who says he has a pancreatic disorder and he got digestive enzymes. They didn't work and so he has now had steroid injections. To be honest they are not working either. All this time he has been 'fluffed up' and remains so. He is however well enough to bully my other budgie. The question is what do I do now? Anyone got any advice? Thanks Natalie
June 15, 200619 yr You can take him to another another avian vet if you are not satisfied that is what I would do or you can continue to take the advice of the other avian vet you are seeing. If he is fluffed up he is probably not feel well and that would be also why he is bullying your other bird. When people don't feel well we can get nasty too . Also read up on the internet, you can type in pancreatic disorders in budgies or birds etc on any search engine such as google, yahoo etc .. and do some reading to see if there are different solutions too.

Thanks for your advice. I have done a lot of google searching and reading over the three months and am not getting anywhere. Also, it was hard enough to find the avian vet I do have so will be extremely difficult to find another. I just wondered if anyone had experience of this. I'm afraid he has always been a bully-bird as well, sick or not, (Laughing out loud)!!
June 15, 200619 yr ah...it seems like anything avian is tough to find you know I wish I could help you out more.
