Posted June 11, 200619 yr Hi there, I am setting up a brand new aviary which will house about 10-12 budgies for fun. My question is, could someone please advise what the best sort of food & water dishes I should be putting in my aviary? I am leaning towards stainless steel but am concerned that the budgies might fall in & drown if too deep. Also are those type of feeders that hang from the roof of the aviary okay for that number of birds? Any advice would be most appreciated!
June 14, 200619 yr Stainless steel dishes would be easiest to clean. They shouldn't be so deep that they could fall in?
June 14, 200619 yr I use stainless steel dishes but not for water containers. Food dishes...yes and depth there isn't important ...they just jump right in and eat anyway. But water is from proper water dispensers made for the purpose.
