what does the male recessive pieds cere look like when he is ready to mate?, I know the females get brown, and with Receissive pied the males cere is pink, but what does it look like when he is ready to mate? Does it turn blue like the others or does it turn a brighter pink?

okay, another question. what is this mating call, noise, etc. that I read about? Does anyone have a video of a budgie doing it so I will know what it sounds like? If not is there a link somehwere that has a budgie mating call on it so I will know what it sounds like?

When Casper & Jasper heard that video they started going crazy (Laughing out loud), thanks :)

I have two male recessives and I have noticed that the pink turns darker (almost purplish). They were almost fleshy coloured as babies but now have this purplish/bluish tinge. It is nothing like my regular males though which are definately blue.

So when they are ready to mate the cere will turn a darker pink almost purplish?

My recessive has stayed a very pink pink and he is almost a year old, I never heard that they change or deep in color when they are ready to breed. You can see his cere in my siggy.
