They are nice, and big, so hopefully this time they will ber fertile!!! :fear Then the yellow pied Cock is her hubby, named Chico. Kirby is the GORGEOUS yellow faced blue type II whos paired with Belle the pretty skyblue hen. Tango is the dilute green spangle hen, and her lil freind/future mate is the violet spangled boy Oscar whos in the heaviest moult ive ever seen! Yes, yes a violet, if not a purple cobalt. He looks skyblue there, but that was becuase he was in sunny part of room. Then, theres the breeding c age i made! Do you like it guys? Kirby and Belle are in it, becuase while Ariel has eggs in the big cage, they like to attack Ariel So i had to seperate them. I made the breeding cage last weekend, which was after Ariel started laying, so i couldnt transfer her eggs and Chico and Ariel in becuse she would have abandoned them probably. Belle is to young to breed, and shes not showing signs of breeding yet (shes aboput 10-11 months) but i just put them in the breeding cage to seperate themf or now. Kirbys 14 months now, Chicos 4, Ariels 2, Tangos 17 weeks, Oscar is 14 weeks :) Also, you can see the nice big cage! Its cleaning day today, which is why i took out all the birds, except Ariel becuase she stays in nest. Normally during free flying time, i open the doors, since Oscar and Tango are in the big cage since they dont bother the nest, plus Ariel wont breed unless theres company..weird eh and the fly out. Lovey...The fluffy spangle is my male Oscar! :fear Hes going through the heaviest moult ive ever seen for a 14 week old! :S And i know hes 14 weeks old, since i got him from breeder, just out of the nest Hes normally violet...if not then a purply cobalt. The sun made him seem skyblue today Ill try to take a more accurate picture. I cleaned out the big cage, and rearranged it all nice and new. New branches, new levels, new toys e.t.c Also, i cleaned out my saltwater fish tank that you see beside the whole setup I saw the cutest dominant pied! She was skyblue, with all white stomach, opaline, and had a gorgeous lil face! I wanted her sooo badly! I also got SOOO HAPPYYY!!!!!! But then sad again becuase there was a baby ALL YELLOW DOUBLE FACTOR SPANGLE BOY!!!! I was like thats it, i went to get up, to go get my mom in the other store to tell her im getting a new one, but as soon as i went to get up, he strahced his wings, and there was a green feather or two in between his wings I THOUGHT HE WAS A DFS SOOOOO BAD! And i got so excited! So, could he be one? I thought no becuase he had some green on him. And his sibliings were all dominant green pieds His cere was bright pink, eyes jet black, and yellow EVERYWHERE! No markings on wings, or face, or anyhting...other than the 1-3 small green feathers inbetween wings. He was a doll!!! No lovey, i never saw a yellow faced spangle! IF i did, you know i would have him by now That was on a website for a store 3 hours away from my house that had a picture of one in there shop a while ago. I emailed them, and the owners checking to see if they will get any new spangle pieds in. If so, when we go to my cottage next (July 30th) im going to get one fore sure!!!! Will keep you posted ps-does anyone know, if i were to breed one of Chico and Ariels yellow faced pied babies (if they hatch, and if theres a female) [yellow faced pied i mean like Chicos colouring, yellow one in my link] and bred her to my violet or cobalt whatever he is spangle male...could i get yellow faced spangles??? June 11, 200619 yr Author Awww Thanks Pheobe! Thats soo nice!!! I had a talk with my mom tonight, aboutgetting more budgies....its not happening :ausb: She said "i told you no more pets, so thanks god you didnt come to get me when you saw the yellow baby" Shes right though. I do have lots, and ive got to learn to limit myself for right now. Ill be going to college in 3 years, and i might have to leave them. If im more than 5 hours away, im going to sell them But anyways...im still going to keep a few of the babies..whether Chico and Ariels, or wait for one of Oscars. i REALLY want a yellow faced spangle...so im going to have to find a way without buying more birds... Would a blue spangled male bred to a yellow faced blue recessive pied hen create Yellow face blue spangles? If so, ill have to wait a while till these eggs hatch, i keep a female, and for her and Oscar to be over a year old (Laughing out loud) Kirby :bluebudgie:

Yellow faced blue spangle(s) Just checking What else could i get from that paring? Pieds, normal blues? The male (blue Spangle) parents were skyblue spangle, and skyblue normal...his siblings were grey winged skyblues, pieds (not sure receesive or dominant, to young to see for sure) and other spangles Then, the yellow faced pied hen's parents would be my cinnamon white pied violet hen, and yellow faced blue type II receesive pied cock.. If his siblings where pied as well then they would have been recessive meaning both parents where carrying it and so he might (should) be split for it as well, matched to another rec pied there is a chance of getting pied babies. Along with YF spangles, you would get blue spangles, blue normals, YF normals
June 14, 200619 yr Author YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! His clutch was of 5. two blue spangles, one pied, two greywing blues.... Does that help? And is YF normal, like my male Kirby? Yellow faced blue??? Or... And what are chances of pieds?...like 50%??? Whata bout spangle pieds?
