Hello everybody,

I've just registered and I hope I can join you.

I live in Switzerland near Zurich. So please excuse my English writing since my native language is German. I've 9 budgies, 6 male 3 female. The oldest one is about 12 years, the youngest is 2 months.

By the way, I really love your pics.

Welcome to our forums

That is awesome you have such an elderly little one good too see.

What are your budgies names? How did you start getting involved with budgies?

Can you post any pictures :).

Oh, its's kind of funny how I got involved. About 21 years ago, our cat catched a baby chaffinch. It was hurt, but still alive. We took it away and started feeding it. After three weeks, it was old enough and could eat himself, but it was handtame. A breeders friend took te bird to make him ready for live outside. Anyhow, he had a baby cockatiel left which he wanted to gave us. Two weeks later, he called and told that the chaffinch is now back in nature and he has a budgie left. A few weeks later, he cave us another budgie and another cockatiel. That's how it started.

Absolutely wonderful pictures!!! I love them all :). I think Kirby is right though Luki looks girl to me too.

hello, and welcome. :)

your flock looks great!! love your babies. who are the parents?/

Thanks to everybody.

I have to make some other Luki-Pictures. Think he looks like a female because of the flash.

I am not a breeder I have a friend who is. I got the babies and the to female from him.

Aria is the mother of Timmy and Benji, Charly the mother of Luki and Jamie. The to fathers are still with my friend.

By the way, how do you call the blue or brown nose of budgies. I don't know that word.

Gday and welcome Prenzi.

You have some beautiful birds. Aira and Jamie are stunning.

Welcome to the forums!

I absolutely love your birds, Luki looks just like my birdie Napoleon!

Hope you enjoy being a member here! It's a great place to learn and ask questions.

Oh yes, I love my budgies, too.

I'm not that used to it if they're male or female. The breeder I got Luki from told me that he's male. He has made some pictures from Luki as he was only a few days old and some other where Luki is older. It seems to me that Luki's cere is changing color. On some days his cere has white rings around the nostrils, what looks to me that he is a she. On other days, the whole cere is light blue and rose like a male. At the moment Luki's sleeping. I've to go to bed to, it's almost midnight here. However, avter the first moult, I'll know what gender Luki has.

Timmy is definitly a young little man. His cere is bluest from all baby bugies. It has become very much darker in the last few days. He looks so sweet right now.
