June 3, 200618 yr oh my what a cutie I am not good with baby pictures but to me it looks like a dominant pied but I could be way off I am better when they are older
June 3, 200618 yr Awww, what a cutie pie!!! I think it's a double factor dominant pied. but I can't really tell quite just yet... but from all the white feathers and just the tiny bit of black on the head and little on the wing, that's my guess anyway...
June 4, 200618 yr Author What is a "double factor dominant pied" ? Do you have a photo af an adult budgie?

June 4, 200618 yr here's my double factor dominant pied that I had finally just named 'Fox'... (after about 6 months here.. hehe) You know after looking at your little baby, I'm not so sure if it is a Double factor dominant pied, it could just as well be a recessive pied!! (Laughing out loud).. any chance of a picture of the tummy/chest area??
June 7, 200618 yr they are pieds but recessive or dominant hard to tell at this stage. they are so cute
June 7, 200618 yr no they are not spangled they are defintely a pied but you have to want a little longer for the feathers to grow out more. If they were spangled you would see the spangling. Karen, what post showes your spangled babies? You can see the spangling immediately.

June 7, 200618 yr They are absolutely gorgeous! I'm going to guess recessives, but I'll be anxious to see more pictures as they mature. They look like cinammons on my monitor (brown). :)
June 8, 200618 yr (Laughing out loud)..okay...you have to admit though, it does sort of look spangled? (Laughing out loud) Kirby
June 9, 200618 yr Author Upgrade.. And so...what kind of budgie is? (spangle, recessive???) Thanks from Italy!!!
June 9, 200618 yr I going to go with double factor pied ((I see where you are getting the spangling I would continue to wait and see how much it darkens up) The reason I say double factor dominant pied is because the blue is up around his/her neck.
June 10, 200618 yr Here is a second opinion from one of our locked out members who is excellent with mutations (Nerwen) hehe I just answered this on another site. I've seen the mom and dad now and I'm not sure that Dad is pied as well so that means they can only be single factor pieds. The second picture, not sure if it's the sibling of the first one or not, but s/he has the patterns that is normal for a SF pied. You can see that there will be a band over the chest area.
June 16, 200618 yr Yep they are both you can see the spangling great now I would say Dominant Pied Spangle gorgeous. Skyblue..
