Perhaps someone can help. My female budgie has laid 7 eggs and is sitting on them dutifully. There is a chance they are fertile too, as she has a little "partner". She has chosen to make her nest on the bottom of a small cage -- so she has no privacy. What would be least upsetting for her -- to move her and her eggs into a next box or leave her where she is.

You cannot move her at this stage. The chance of abandoning the eggs would be high if placed in another spot. Maybe you could place a partition around her, without moving anything in a big way and make sure she has some nesting material for the eggs to nestle on.

or you can cover the section of the cage with a sheet?
