Have you ever heard a male budgie squawk?

My younger males do when the "mean" girls tell them to move out of the way.

Believe I have heard every budgie sound imaginable and a squawk is one of them.

What is your point?

I don't have a point really. I was just wondering if when I hear my budgies squawking if it was only the female as they tend to stop when they think I am comming to let them out or give them something. I have only seem my females squawk and I was wondering if males squawk too.

I find the boys only do it when they are being bossed around or if they are scared or stuck somewhere.

absolutely .. mine sqwarks all the time, particularly when he lands on my shoulder and I don't pay any attention to him he'll sqwark right in my ear as if to say "I don't care what you're doing pay attention to me!!!"
