May 30, 200619 yr my female has laid 4 eggs and they have a pinkish tinge to them do you think there is a chance they will hatch Hi there. It's not the colour of the eggs that tells you if they will hatch. You must candle the eggs with a torch to see. Here is a link to tell you how to do it. http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Bluffs/1958/eggs.html also try not to be hasty and discard any eggs that may not look fertile as another member had babies hatch from eggs he thought were no good. Cheers karen
May 31, 200619 yr the last time i candled eggs 3 were fertile but after i moved them she rejected them do you think it will happen again if i candled them
May 31, 200619 yr Could have been a personality trait of the bird, taking the eggs away for too long, or even a transferance of something from your hands that she detected ( ie. a scent or something ). Hard to know.
