Birds At Play

Well I'm having a blast watching the budgies in the tree. They are really enjoying it. I wish I could get Beka, Star, Puddin' and Daff out for some play time, but they will not come on the perch and I don't want to grab them.

So, I had 7 out at the same time tonight. They climbed, flew around, squabbled, snacked on millett, and had a grand time. And so did I.

I think you can see 6 of them in this picture.

Tweety resists coming out of the cage at first but once she is out she is fine. She will fly back and forth from cage to tree. I try to keep them off the cage with the four still inside - don't want any nips on the toes.

Wylie looks gorgeous in flight. There is something to be said about normals.

Caught Tazzy in flight too. He looks so stubby since he molted out the tail feathers.

Sylvester looks washed out here. He seems the most comfortable in the tree. He really is a special budgie.

I think that Jewel was just yawning here but it looks like she is giving Wylie the what for.

Not really. They all like their cage. Wylie is the most challenging to get in and out. It is hard to get him to stay on the perch. He just doesn't trust me yet. He has been nervous from day 1. I actually think transporting them in and out of the cage on the perch to the playgym is going to help with the trust some. I see a difference already.

that looks like they are having great fun!! brilliant pictures!

The flight picture of Sylvester is so cute. I only have 4. I can imagine what that must be like having them all zipping around. Mine will all go back.. but I have to put them in in the right order - (Laughing out loud) Khepri has to be the last in.
