Hey every one im a new joiner to this forum so any advice you can give me will be really appricated. So my first question is my birds mated on wensday and today is saturday and the femals 'bum' is really red and swollen does this mean an egg will be coming soon? Can any one tell me what the chicks colours might be the femals is a dark green and the father is a dark blue almost a purple? Thanks for all of the advice. Hoping for beutiful chicks!!! :rip:

The babies will/might be 50% green normals, 50% green normals split to blue...right guys? Got pics of them?

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure the experts will be along to answer your questions about breeding. I just wanted to say hi. Pictures of your budgies will certainly help with predicting what your chicks will be. I would say all of your babies will be green because it is dominant, unless of course the mom is split for blue.

Mine normally lay in the afternoon but that doesnt mean that they all do. Good luck!

Today is Sunday and she has been in the nest box all day so i think she has laid an . HOpefully Keeping my fingers crossed !!!!!!!!!!!!
