Posted May 16, 200619 yr Can anybody recommend a good book about keeping and training budgie to me please? First-time owner here. thanks. ek
May 16, 200619 yr I am sure there are favorites out there but what I did was I went to the library and ordered every budgie book out there and read them learned alot. Some were outdated totally and others were good but either way I learned what people used to do and what people do now.
May 16, 200619 yr i dont know if theres one out there but the series " A complete pet owner's manual" is an awesome book for whatever bird its on. I also have the Budgerigar encyclopedia but whatever floats your boat ( always wanted to say that) You would do just as good reading stuff from the net.
June 19, 200619 yr I can recommend two. "The Parakeet Handbook" by Annette Wolter and Immanuel Birmelin. It is published by Barron's and the one I have is copyright 2000. The other is "The Complete Book of Parakeet Care" by Annette Wolter and Monika Wegler. It is also published by Barron's but I do not know the copyright date of that one. Another book I think everyone should own (or at least read) is "The Healthy Bird Cookbook" by Robin Deutsch. It is published by T.F.H. Publications, Inc., and the one I have is copyright 2004.
