Posted May 14, 200619 yr :ausb: And sorry, it did not go very well, he is a very petite budgie with the bluest cere that I have ever seen and he is looking very rough as he just went through a bad moult. On top of that, he was scared stiff of the camera. I have had him about about 2 months, he is a rescue budgie and I originally paired him with Comet after I took away Comet's, Star, the love of his life. Although Comet likes other birds, he was particularly nasty to Buddy, and Buddy held his own, I think Comet still knows that Star is on the premises (in my bedroom) and awaiting adoption. So I got Buddy his own cage and he is much happier (and forget the gungy mirrors, it is shower rotation time for him tomorrow!). Anyhow, Buddy is just over 1 year old, had a lovebird companion over in the next cage and fortunately was not abused or neglected, his owners decided that the birds did not fit in with their lifestyle anymore. He is somewhat tame but got a little bit wild in his time with Comet. He is doing great, stepping up and sat on my shoulder for 10 minutes tonight on the computer. Was told he just loves mirrors which he does so have provided him with several. Sings a lot, gets excited about absolutely nothing and I love him a bunch (just as I do everybody else). And the quote for today is: "To save one animal won't save the world but it will save the world for that animal". :budgiedance:
