Posted May 12, 200619 yr I am thinking of becoming an online distributor for organic pet food products, as I am having trouble locating anything of this variety in my neck of the woods. This poll is not to drum up business for myself, just to see if it is a viable idea. Thanks everyone for your input.
May 12, 200619 yr Author Not at this stage, it is just an idea that I had, and I just want to see if it is viable! I posted another topic earlier about Harrisons, requesting info about whether people think it is a good product or not. http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....topic=10031&hl= It of course would depend on the company itself, whether I would be a rep for a particular company, or if I could offer a range of different products depending on peoples preferences. I really want to start a business from home that would provide a decent income when I leave work to have a baby. I noticed there was a lack of this sort of product available, so hopefully there would be demand for it. Edited May 12, 200619 yr by Riebie
May 13, 200619 yr Living in West Aust, I don't know if it would be viable for us to buy, as to postage costs. But if you could do it at a reasonable cost (or do it in partnership with someone in the West!), then yes!
May 13, 200619 yr Author I was thinking sending it through Aust. Post, I didn't think postage varies depending on where you sent it..... Any other options or ideas would be gladly heard!! A WA partner hmmm, perhaps a mum who has a bit of time up her sleeve, only working school hours etc, would possibly work.... I am still investgating set-up fees and of course whether I could get one or more companies to get on board. I don't know if it is worth offering a variety of products, or just stick to the one brand.
May 15, 200618 yr Wht not keep the basic stock in,and give the option of getting the specialist stuff for the customer as and when they order it, therefore you dont have stock going out of date in your house, just keep the popular lines/easy selling, then expand as and when you need to. jason
