My partner and I have recently noticed that 2 of our breeding budgies are plucking their chest feathers . Is this normal behaviour as they have recently laid eggs or can it be down to stress

I'm a new member too and hoping to find some useful info

We had the same problem only the mother didnt kill the baby but kept attacking it so we had to separate them and hand rear the little one who, thankfully is doing really well
