Budgie Relationship Advice
My poor blue baby has been single since he flew into our life. There are females available yet he doesn't really know how to talk to girls. Instead of singing and grooming them, Blu rushes up and starts peck the female's wings and beak agressively. Is there a way to show him how to get a mate?

Budgie Jumps On Hand And Bites/nibbles Constantly
All budgies are unique so don't take my word for granted. It could just be the horomones kicking in although 3 months is a bit young.

Budgie Jumps On Hand And Bites/nibbles Constantly
My female budgie used to do something similar after mating where she would chase us around and attack our hands, often trying to rub her bum, for days at a time. We noticed that her abdomen was a lot larger and got her diagnosed with fatty liver disease. After a diet change and medication she was back to being her regular, half-aggressive self. I would recommend taking your budgie for a check up and an x-ray if possible just to see whether her liver may be enlarged. If you can't do that an easier option would be to offer fresh fruit and vegetables instead of seeds as well as a mixture of AVC (apple cide vinegar) and milk thistle. Natural remedies take a bit longer to kick in though. Goodluck with your angels!~

Hyperactive And Over Sexed Male Budgie
My crazy blue boy is a bit sexually active too, constantly singing to and mating with anything reflective he can find yet still has time for cuddles. I guess all budgies are different in their own special way as my other male is a lot more well-behaved. I don't really have any tips expect to simply spend time with him and prevent him from doing it on anything. Good luck with your budgerigar adventure!

Female Budgie Hits And Scares The Male One
Sorry for your loss. Female budgies are very picky about their mates for some reason. My first pair of budgies had pretty much the same thing going on until we got two more. The new boy Guapo immediately got the girl whilst poor Blue has been single for at least a year. I wouldn't be concerned about him hitting her as males aren't really aggressive. If she looks injured then it might be a problem (males can get quite excited). Just make sure to keep an eye on them in the mean time. [not an expert By The Way]

Hi
Welcome to BBC! Two females would probably fight (crazy hens I know) but a mixture or two boys would be fine. I wish you luck with your budgie adventure

I Am Thoroughly Confused
I'm no expert (Google helps a lot) but it looks like a young male to me. Females tend to have really really light blue ceres when they are young that turn into a brownish white whilst males are a blueish purple. It is hard to tell when they are this young so you should probably wait a bit before making any assumptions. Hope this helps!

Budgie Squashed Toe
Around a month ago Silva got her toe caught in the door. It was bleeding but not dripping and eventually a scab formed. After applying antiseptic for a week the scratch healed completely. However even a month later the toe still looks slightly flatter compared to her other foot although it doesn't look like she is in any pain/discomfort. Is there any way to help get the toe back to normal, will it heal on its own or is it permanent?

Black And White Pied Budgie?
I have recently gotten a new bird called Silva. She is black and white but still needs some time to adjust to living here. 1. How rare is her colour? 2. What genes/mutations cause her to be like that? 3. How can I help her fit in with my other 3 budgies?
