  4. Thank you very much for the help, I have been treating her with bird mite and lice spray which says it controls feather mites but I have been doing this for several weeks I think she might need some stronger stuff or a different type of spray. Thank you so much for the help I will continue her treatment
  5. Hi, I have two budgies. One male, named Bluestreak who I have owned for about three months and a female, Bumblebee, who I have owned for about six months. These two are my first birds I've owned, so I'm still fairly new to this. I'm wondering if anyone can give me some advice regarding Bumblebee, my female. I've noticed over time she was having a build up on her beak, which looked like she wasn't able to clean it off properly herself. Once I got the new budgie, Bluestreak, I assumed he was able to assist. Obviously, this was not the case. Her cere seemed to worsen, more plaquey build up. We thought it was mites, as advised by a pet stop assistant. We've been spraying her with mite spray for a few weeks, not much improvement other than to her dry sore feet (which I'm also concerned is related to her cere problem). Now the condition seems to have worsened, and she's formed two bumps on her cere. I've called the vet today to ask about a check up, but I want to run it past some expert budgie breeders first? Hope this was okay. Thank you! Picture: http://tinypic.com/r/2irr8qs/6 Sorry, I have realised I've posted this in the wrong section.
