Hi all – My name is Selena!! And I am new to this forum I’m owner of Seli’s Birdhouse (Check out my facebook page if you’re interested). I recently moved away from breeding finches into breeding budgies and small/medium parrots and am LOVING it!! These birds are soooo much more interactive and a pleasure to have than finches (who have a tendency to want to fly around like nuts whenever I am near). I currently have 41 budgies in various colours and mutations–from normals to violets, spangles, greys, yellow headed, pied and clearbodies–and I am currently working my way through the various factors to attempt to determine the correct mutation….any recommendations for sites that would assist with doing this would be wonderful Most of these birds are within 12 months of age, although some were purchased as adults and breeding pairs. And last week, I very excitedly discovered two nesting boxes with eggs!!! Can’t wait to see what I get I also keep plumheads, Scarlet Parrots, Elegant Parrots, 28 Parrots (or Port Lincoln Parrots) and a pet blue Indian Ringneck named Saphira. I look forward to trawling the forums for some valuable information on successfully breeding the beautiful budgie!! Selena
