For calcium, I have a calcium bell, mineral and calcium block and cuttlebone, as well egg food? I added more bedding when I found the cracked egg and today the remaining egg is still fine, so I don't think it was on purpose but still unsure :/

The white hen, has dark eyes without any iris that I can see, breeding her should show her genetics properly shouldn't it, all chicks would be spangle if she is? Oh cool, I thought he might be! I believe he is young, around 6 months or less, but I am not 100% for number 6 Oh and the bird that I believe is double factor, I will see if I can get some more photos

Violet Hen?
So, would that give them plum eyes being split?
-
Violet Hen?
Cool, it makes sense if she is a cinnamon as she is such a lavender colour violet, quite light Cool, so if the chicks are cinnamon the father would have to be split for cinnamon as it is a sexed link mutation and that could give the chicks plum eyes?

Treating Chicks For Scaly Face And Worms
Oh okay cool, I didn't know if it was advisable or if you had to as actually I had only dealt with puppies and kittens I want to do what's right and keep good husbandry skills, I keep my birds when not breeding in an outdoor aviary so try to keep them wormed and I wormed the adults before breeding etc... I also had a bird that I had bought develop scaly face around three months afterwards, I'm not sure if it carried it in, but it didn't show with quarantine, but now I treat all my new birds while in quarantine and have treated my whole flock. None of my breeding pairs have shown it, so it should be fine?

Pair 1-- update Eldest chick seems to like me, when I poke my head in, it wonders over and stands up to be tickled, handling every day seems to pay off Here is the four chicks growth progress, the youngest has begun to open its eyes Pair 2--update Have seven eggs Pair 4--update Laid their second egg but when I checked it was cracked, what could be the reason for this? She is skittish and does spook easily so she may have knocked it, the photo shows the yolk is still there so I hope it isn't that they ate it :/ It could be calcium, every bird is an individual so she may not process it like the other birds, I have decided I will start to supplement it more, what do you think? The other egg is fine, do they feel a certain way if they are low in calcium (the eggs)?

My Pied Budgies
Hi, I have several pied budgies of different colours, I believe I know whether they are dominant or recessive pied, but would like some second opinions please? Also if they are male or female and if they have any other mutations, thanks!! 1. Recessive pied, male (yellow based?) 2. Dominant pied, male (cobalt) 3. Recessive pied, hen (sky blue)

Thanks Oh cool, I'm not really sure what the plum eyes look like, but some of the chicks do seem to have a tinge of a reddy colour is that plum? I did some research on splayed legs last night, just to make sure I knew exactly what I was looking for, I tested the two eldest chicks out today and both seem fine and can walk pretty well for babies, so another thing I can feel happy about and it gives me confidence that my prior research (into diet, nesting etc... has paid off)

Pair 3--update Have laid seven eggs Can anyone see fertility, I think the three to the right certainly look slightly darker? I don't have a proper candler, but when I shine a torch I can see something similar to what I saw in pair 1's eggs Getting excited!! Due next week Pair 1-- update Eldest chick (hard to see but yellow on the head) Second eldest- doesn't look to be a yellow or golden face Chick number three- has started to develop feather growth, eyes are open Has just been fed carrot :3

Pair 1-- update Oldest chicks feather growth You can see some yellow on his face and feathers, so thinking it has yellow face or goldenface mutation The other chicks Pair 4-- update Has their first egg! Now all four pairs have eggs/chcks

Male?
That's what the seller said and she was in a different cage, so that's what I assumed

As soon as I place carrot in she and the cock dive for it, chomp down and then I just see carrot over the chicks faces and theirs haha So I know they are getting vitamins! Also she has always been a bit reluctant to try new veggies, but now with the chicks she has a go, which is good, this happened with the carrot two days ago and apple today, she would never touch it. She preferred the leafy greens, endive and silverbeet. So I am glad that the chicks are getting added nutrients

Recessive Pied?
Thank you, I love him! He's still stuck in quarantine though so I don't get to see him pretty up my aviary for a few weeks yet, but I can't wait! Oh cool, it's so hard to see his markings that's why I was unsure if he was a resessive pied, but now I am excited that he is even more than that

Male?
They were in different cages, but I am not entirely sure. The hen though is part English but the male isn't. I love the light baby coloured birds, greywings are one of my favourites, but I hadn't been that lucky in finding them, until these two
