Hi All, We are looking to confirm the sex of my daughters latest four offspring to a Lutino hen and Sky Blue male. They are approx. 7-8 weeks old. Lutino 1 a hen. Green 1 hen. Green 2, I’m thinking is also a hen with my daughter hoping it’s a boy. Lutino 2 a hen. Sadly 2 further born of a clutch of 7 eggs did not survive beyond a few days. So, how have we gone picking their sex ?, I think all hens ? Plus picture 5 is a 13mth old Albino’, ‘Milkshake, from a Spangle Opaline Grey hen & Opaline Grey male which we gave my sister & I’m certain is a hen, however she has moved in next to an old Cockatiel male called Spot & is now talking ‘hello Spot’ & mimicking Spot’s calls etc. I’ve heard hens can talk etc but not so much as males ? thanks Kaz & Vargur. Previous three chicks were Albino (one did not survive), a hen (Hedwig) that I kept & the other (Milkshake) I gave my sister who tells me it is now talking. I thought that as an Albino it also had to be a hen, hoping to get photo's to post re sex ID, I have heard that hens can talk ? but not that common, any advice on this ? thanks

Hi All, wondering if anyone can give me advice of possible sex of two new babies, first is 15 days old and second is 13 days old, pics hopefully attached. Dad is a opaline grey & mum a spangle opaline grey. 15 day old looks like dad and 13 day old looks like a albino. Hello, attached should be a picture or link to my daughters 2nd pair, a Lutino hen & a blue male, but what type of blue is he & are these colour pairings the way to go ? Also what type of male should be paired with a albino hen to hopefully produce a albino male ? thanks

thanks Jenny for the colours confirmation I hope to post a photo of the other albino baby as my sister thinks it may be a cock Here is my daughters other pair, a Lutino Hen & a blue cock, can you tell us what colour type he is please ?, plus they are both last seasons (2011) birds we got from a friend breeder, the Hen has had 2 clutches (Autumn & Spring) but both all clear eggs, is this because they are too young perhaps ? My daughter so wishes her Pop was still here as he would have all the answers. Hello, new to BBC. I look after my teenage daughters small flock of 4 budgies. She has my dad's last male grey budgie (dad was a bird man his whole life, champion breeder & shower of budgies,finches in the 1960-70's in Sydney, NSW, then moved to parrots as a hobby). We are interested to know the colour type of dad's last male grey and his partner a female light grey and the type & sex of one of their offspring a full white approx 14 weeks old, 3 chicks hatched (all white), 2 survived, the second went to my sister 2 weeks ago, not sure of its sex. Photo's should be attached of mum, dad & bub. Any advice on colour types & sex of bub would be much appreciated. We'll leave the other two for another post. Thanks in anticipation. okay, I'm stumped, how do I attach photo's ? Any tips ?
