Do give it to them when you first put your pair of budgies in the breeding cage or do you put it in once the eggs have hatched?

Yea thats what has happend to my hen (speedy), her cere was whitey blue nows it has suddenly turned brown i have been waiting for 6 months for her cere to turn back to brown, and she has become agressive like trying to chew the perch. The cocks (sparkie) cere has always been deep blue but for some reason he never sings or speaks?

I want to breed my 2 budgies, but i dont know if their ready or not does anyone know when a pair is ready to breed?

Can brother and sister mate or will there babies be born deformed i know this happens with us but im not sure if its the same with bugies

Up country somewhere i'm not sure where?

I will take him to the vets after i am back from hoilday.

I think i am going to wait a couple of months then see how he is doing, if then sparkie still cant fly i will take him to a vet if i can find any that specializes in birds

I was thinking about varnishing the wood on my avairy to make it look nicer, but i dont know if its harmful or not does anyone know?

There arent any vets who specializes in budgies around where i live so i dont know where to go? I might have to go up country.

He is only a year old. He doesnt look ill but he cant jump from a perch to another one and he cant fly very well?

Sometimes he falls and lands on its back and he cant get back up so i have to help him :bluebudgie:

Why do you say that? We meant that he is moulting. Thats when a bird loses some of its feathers, including flight and tail feathers, as well as the little soft ones. Its completly normal as they will grow back soon. My guess would be that his short flight feathers will grow back. If for some odd reason they never do, you should really get him checked out by a vet if possible. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> okay thanks

There actally very short and no vet around where i live dont know much about budgies.

I think there is something wrong with my budgie it cant fly very well and just flys into a wall also it cant jump from perch to perch it has to climb across the bars to get to the next perch when it does jump to another perch it lands on it then loses it balance and falls to the ground. Does anyone know why?
