Hi all, this might be a question no one knows the answer to, but I suppose no hurt in asking anyway, so are Carambola (or starfruit) TREES safe for budgies? I grew a couple from seed and I have them in the same room with my Budgie, Allen. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas? That's infuriating >: ( There are two pet stores near where I live, a Petsmart and a Petco, and thankfully both keep the birds in good conditions, with clean, big-enough cages and some toys and plenty of clean food and water.

Well, he's molting again! I took a picture comparing some molted "nibbled" feathers with an undamaged feather: Does this help? All the feathers that look "nibbled" are on his back, nowhere else, and most of the feathers on his back seem affected.

He should be fine in the dark, and cover his cage too. That way he won't see any motion or anything that might scare him. He can get used to his cage in the morning. But maybe make sure he eats some millet spray or something before he goes to bed. Good luck
