Baby Budgies - Gender Help
Beautiful looking babies, I have a feeling all are males but the first 2 have that touch of white around the nostrils that could mean female. I'm going with all males, it'll be interesting to see in a couple of weeks

First Baby Ever - Sex Of Chick?

Budgie Gender And Age?
Both look to be males, yellow seems a recessive pied and the white could possible be a double factor dominant pied

Bud Gender
She looks like a greywing, possibly violet

Aggressive Male Budgie That Has Injured Another Male Budgie
I've only found my birds to be agressive when it comes to breeding. Often females fight but I've had the odd males who will draw blood on each other. Mine eventually work it out and stay good together

What Mutations/colours Will I Likely Get From These Pairings?
I think if you pair your female from pair 3 to your male from pair 2 that'll give you the violet and yellow face gene from the female. You should receive 50% of your babies carrying the violet gene and also the yellow face gene. I just had a quick read over the genetics and that is the best way I think you use to get yellow face violets, although I may be wrong

What Mutations/colours Will I Likely Get From These Pairings?
The female in pair 1 looks to be a opaline spangle. 50% of your babies will be spangle, unless the male is split to opaline you won't have any visual opalines. Babies will be blue series as both parents are blue. Pair 2, should be the same as pair one except no spangle Pair 3, I'm not sure but I don't think you will get any blues. The yellow face has a green gene and the male is a green series, the green over powers the blue and you should have all greens I may be wrong with that, also birds may be split which would give other outcomes

Young Budgie With Crusty Cere
Hi, If your female budgie is under 1 year of age you should remove the box from the cage. A picture would help, she might be leaving condition or she may have scaley face

Young Budgies - Both Male?
That would mean he is still fairly young, good luck with your birds
-
Advice Needed
If the birds have left the nest and you don't want anymore babies you should remove the nesting box. Budgies are able to breed all year long but it is not recommended. They do normally lay after a clutch of eggs but this does not always happen

Varieties/mutations/type?
Nazgrim looks like an opaline spangle, uther looks like a recessive pied Need closer pictures

Young Budgies - Both Male?
Like humans everyone has a different personality, some birds just hate being touched even from a young age and need lots of time spent with them. Other birds bond very quickly and are easy to handle. Some babies are friendly and some babies from the same nest want to stay away from you. Just comes down to the bird itself.

Young Budgies - Both Male?
Both birds are male, does the white bird have a iris ring? If not he is a dark eyed clear, if he has a ring he is a double factor spangle. Second bird is a yellow face type 2 grey wing Can't tell how old the white bird is, if he doesn't have iris rings but develops them in the next few weeks he will be around 4-5 months. Second bird I think is over a year old

Fallows, Lacewings Or Something Else- Please Help
Hi finnie, I understand what you're saying with this but I just think it is way to unlikely to have all 3 being fallows. When breeding 2 splits together you only have a 25% chance of a visual fallow, 50% chance of normal/fallow and 25% normal. I know this is the expected % over the course of there breeding and that it would be possible to have more than 1 fallow in a nest but I just don't think it would happen. Also I read somewhere (can't remember where I found it) that breeding 2 split fallows together would be a waste of the fallow gene as it is unlikely to produce hardly any at all. Although it is possible to have all 3 fallows, there is no guarantee on what they are Well i remembered about a post from a while ago and had a quick look for it, I think finnie is on the right track with more than 1 bird being a fallow. http://forums.budgie...32986&hl=trefto Your white bird may in fact be a cinnamon fallow, looks almost identical coloring to your bird. But i don't think the yellow bird is a fallow, I am fairly confident on that one being a creamino lacewing, I have one that looks very similar. But if the creamino turns out to be a male (like it is currently looking) that would mean you have gotten 3 fallows from this pair

Fallows, Lacewings Or Something Else- Please Help
it could be a good explanation as to why it is appearing to be a male, but I believe the cheek patches are violet for a fallow. The creamino has white cheek patches which would indicate it isn't a fallow.

Fallows, Lacewings Or Something Else- Please Help
A female can't be split for lacewing, only a male can. All your ino birds have to be female. Ino birds normally mask a mutation, as they are pure white or yellow you can't see the markings but they will sometimes have markings on there body. On the albino lacewing, the cinnamon is only on the wings and not through the back, this is what suggests to me that she is opaline.

Fallows, Lacewings Or Something Else- Please Help
There is only one way you have gotten a fallow, both your parents are split for fallow. (Sorry I didn't realise both could be split earlier) Are these pictures taken in the last couple of days? Lacewing is a sex linked gene and can't be masked, you may find that the baby appears to be male but it will most likely change into a female cere. Also your second bird wouldn't be called a white face lacewing, it would be an albino lacewing. Looks like an opaline as well.

Fallows, Lacewings Or Something Else- Please Help
You wouldn't have been able to get a fallow from this pair, have you got any fallow birds that you currently have breeding?

Fallows, Lacewings Or Something Else- Please Help
Hi beautiful babies, I believe you have given the correct mutation for each one. Was this the only pair inside the cage or did you have other birds when you bred them?
