How To Breed Show Type Budgies?
Hello Everyone, Okay I know my question will sound stupid but as I am newbie, I am curious to find out about this magical type of budgies. So basically my question is, how do you breed the first "show type" budgie?? Do you buy one from market or auction or do you mate some specific types of budgies to breed "show type" budgies? What about the crested budgies? How do I breed crested budgies (do I need to buy a pair or what?) The problem is that where I am from, we don't have budgie clubs here nor any auctions or competitions, so I know nothing about exhibition birds. Yes, I know how stupid I feel right now. Thank you for all your help guys.

My Budgies
Thank you for your response, I really appreciate it. However I am more confused now. Someone on another forum told me the following classifications : Picture 1 is a Dilute If it is, you can't see it from this photo. Picture 2 is a Skyblue Cinnamon Doesn't look cinnamon. Picture 3 is a Gray-Green Opaline As Nev said, yf, not green Picture 4 is a Light Green Opaline If we could see the back, we could find out if this is true. Pictures 5 & 6 are Yellowface Type 1 Cobalt This is what Neville said for Picture 5. But for Picture 6, no. Picture 7 is a Violet Greywing. Not even remotely greywing. Also, I will be posting more pictures later today and would appreciate your reply on them too. I'd say the person who told you those is wrong. Did they base that on these same pictures, or were they looking at something different than what is here? Better pictures that are not blurry or overexposed, and showing each bird's front and back would help a lot. Also, as you are going to add more birds to the lot, numbering (or naming) each one will help make it less confusing, so we don't get them mixed up. Thank you for your answer dear, much appreciated . I have posted the same pictures on Yahoo answer and that was the answer I got from one person. Well I guess, he didn't know much about budgies like me Well here are the latest pictures that I took today. Please classify them also. I really hope the quality of image is sufficient enough to see them clearly. Picture 1 : Picture 2 : Picture 3 : Picture 4 : Picture 5 : Picture 6 : Picture 7 : Picture 8 : Picture 9 : Picture 10 : Picture 11 : Picture 12 : Picture 13 : Picture 14 : Picture 15 : Picture 16 : Picture 17 :

Hello From Pakistan
Hello Everyone, I just saw this forum and browsed it for like 3-4 hours even before registering. I love this forum as am really happy to see other budgies enthusiasts out there. Well let me introduce myself, my name is Shajee (Age : 20) and I am from Karachi, Pakistan. I love budgies but am pretty new to their breeding. I have currently 4 breeding pairs (2 pairs in each cage) and have bred around 25 budgies from that 4 pairs. I do face alot of problem as am new to this and none of the people I know has any experience with budgies. Also, budgies pair & their accessories is quite expensive and not many vets are available here and those that are, are not very affordable. So I guess this pretty much sums up the intro. Hopefully, I will gain a *** lot of knowledge from this forum as you people seem very helpful and expert on this species. Thank you administrator for setting up this forum. Respect. Regards, Shajee Afzal.
