Budgies not breeding
how old were they when you got them as you have had then 7 months if they were young they could be 9 to 10 months although capable still a little young to breed, are you in the uk if so if you have just put them out the weather is getting warmer so give them time also give them time to get use to the avery especially if it is really big put up a selection of nest boxs all at the same height so they have a choice

I am new and need a lot of help
sorry but it was not obvious i thought the same as clint she had layed but they were infertile anyway apart from that 1 were you sure they were in breeding condition (i have just read this thread for the first time sorry dont know how i never saw it) 2 you say they seem old enough are you sure can you check. your describtion of your nest box is a little hard to follow i have never heard of the hole in the bottom but i am not saying that it wont work mine are 6x6x12 inches with 3 inches of wood shavings the hole is in the side at the top it is up to you whether you change the nest box i know you are just starting but i would check the above points first

Egg bound?!?!
clints comment was to give her extra calcium which would not have helped with your situation now calcium does help form the egg but if you supply cuttle fish all the time (which you should) extra calcium will not be needed at breeding time
-
Egg bound?!?!
no not a lot of heat just steady my bird room is set to about 10 to 15 degrees clint were did your post about calcium go i replyed to yours but it has gone ? clinton replying: i deleted it since u said that calcium dont have anything to do with it, so i decided it was a waste of space
-
Egg bound?!?!
calcium has not got anything to do with a hen becoming egg bound one thought on it is that the air temp falls as she is laying and her muscles cant contract
-
Egg bound?!?!
hospital cage is the best option you can try to manually manipulate it out but i would only advise this as a last resort and to some one with grear confidance and experiance

Wing Clipping
totally agree with PyscoFalcon rainbow nicely put but how do you know they were not nervous when they could not fly and i am sorry but i must disagree where you say they are easier to tame cause they can not fly. the toilet and kitchen ? close a door. it does not matter whether a bird is a avery bird or not it is still a bird
-
feeders
i have just purchased some feeders that fix on the outside of the cage so that you can fill them from the outside so you dont have to disturb your birds if breeding, they hold 2 to 3 days supply of seed they are spot on i highly recomend them

Budgie Type?
why does every body think im a her?? i can asure you im a he from that picture it could be anyone type of budgie as for the american budgie being bigger ?? if people want to see budgies from diferrent countrys go to budgerigar world go to links look at some of the breeders of SHOW birds in england germany belgium then scroll down and look at some photos of american breeders of SHOW budgies if you did not know where they came from you could not tell the diference the american english belgium dutch are all the same no difference the only reason that there is adifference in show and pet budgies is that the budgerigar society be it in america england or the wbs have set a certain standard of budgie ie the ideal and this is what exhibition breeders are trying to achieve

Wing Clipping
the reason it is bad is there is no justification in it you can tame a bird with out doing it place a bird in a cage or aviery if you want to open a window
-
Wing Clipping
no you are so wrong it is not okay to clip wings its normal????????? sorry havnt seen many wild birds with there wings clipped cutting a toe nail doesnt stop you walking for as long as you like clipping wings does stop birds flying
-
Wing Clipping
if you had your legs clipped you would just sit there. if she/he has been held a lot then it could be calm and just taking in the new suroundings
