Thanks for the advice, Kaz. We have a budgie aviary just next door and it was the first place I checked but unfortunately no luck. Have also discovered another one on my travels around the block but still no luck as yet. He went missing about 3:30pm so there wasn't much time before nightfall. What do you think a budgie's behaviour might be on escaping at that time of day? No leg ring, I'm afraid.

My male aqua blue budgie Sweetie flew from Croydon Park, Sydney, on Wednesday, 29th June, 2011. Very friendly, good talker: "Hello darling", "Love you, darling", "Good girl" etc. Excellent flier so could be some distance away. His mate is nesting and is anxious at his absence. She needs him to help her while she incubates her eggs and raises her first brood of chicks. Sweetie is very precious to me - a very special little sweetheart. If found, please contact me urgently! I have combed the local streets and parks calling him and have done a letterbox drop around the block as well as put up posters in vets' windows, the post office, McDonalds, Subway, the newsagency, local churches and bus stops. He is 4.5 years old. My hope is that, being so friendly, he has approached someone who has taken him in. I just need to find that person! Ween
