Yes budgies are about 2 years... I didnt change the nest box for the pair that had already laid the eggs, they kept the same twin box and only used one side of it. i looked with the torch and all i could see was yellowness, no veins and it was 8 days onwards, she laid one egg, then had a fight, then i moved the other pair and she layed the other egg, 6 days onwards she started kicking the eggs out and acting strange so i candled the eggs. I have a few questions, any HELPFUL/ POSITIVE criticism welcome Im not a full on budgie breeder, just a little hobby type thing at the moment. I have 4 budgie. They were all in the same cage at first with a twin nesting box, They are paired up.. The first pair Laid 2 eggs and then the Hen got very very protective and was almost killing the other hen that was in the cage... So i split them into seperate cages with there own boxes.. (right thing????) The hen that had laid 2 eggs (2 days apart) didnt lay anymore then 2, and started kicking them out of the little concave bit in the box, i put them back, and she did it to both of them... im thinking someting was up so i candled the eggs and both looked infertile too me, it had been about 8 days now. So i got rid of these eggs. ( right or wrong???) Im really keen to get some babies, its such a learning experience for me ( im only 18) if ind it really fun though Any informaiton please, and also will she lay more eggs for me, they are quite bonded and i catch them mating all the time.. will post picture of the pair, and the eggs when she had them..

Hey guys, Im new here, about 6 months ago brought myself 2 budgies, quite a small cage.. Now i have an avairy with 5 budgies ( just bought another today) Opened the nest box today and theres on egg in there sooo happy.. Have quite a few questions so hopefully people on here can help!! Cya!
