  1. Thank you RIPbudgies!
  2. Your computer is fine. My camera is not accurate. I just realized that the first one is a yellow face 2, not yellow face 1 which my camera shows. I noticed that today when I was standing next to her. In person, the second one's markings are a shade of brown. Here is his tail: Looks grey from here too: The depth of his wing color is greatly different than my other greywing. Granted, they are not the same mutation. If the overall consensus is greywing, I will accept that.
  3. I finally filled my aviary with 6 new budgies and I want to try my hand at guessing their mutations. I believe this is a type 1 yellow face, opaline greywing. She may be a dilute. This budgie, Chops, has me confused. He is a lightgreen male, cinnamon wing I think. I hope I am close!

I finally got the budgies for my aviary. On Monday I brought home 6 budgies from a breeder a few miles away from my home. They were a little cramped in the space the lived in before, so I wanted to give them a better view and more room in my aviary. The straight dowel in the photos was intended to "level" the budgies so I could take photos of them from the front, going down the row. However, this did not work. According to the breeder, these birds are around 6 months old! I am relived they are not. They were being bred in a colony. There are some with splayed feet and some calcium deficient. Pictures of the budgies: Splayed feet to the right and left. The most inquisitive of the group. This pied has been named Herman after my brother's first budgie. These were breeding pair 1 Breeding pair 2, according to the breeder Breeding pair 3, according to the breeder Looks like a cinnamon I originally thought this was a rainbow. I am now changing my position: she isn't a spangle. I apologize for the amateur nature of these photos. Scared budgies are often difficult to photograph and my camera does not depict the true colors of these budgies. Our assorted group! I may be getting more budgies next month from a show breeder a few miles away from my home. I will see how that works out. RASUR

Hi Finnie. Thank you. I will try to post a couple of photos, soon. I may be getting a few more budgies this afternoon. I am going to meet a breeder in a neighboring city.

Well, I have finally worked up the nerve to introduce myself on the forum! I have been a member for months, but have never posted. My name is Rasur and I have a budgie named Nickle who is about 9 months old. I have 7 years of experience with budgies and have never stopped loving them. When I was young, I wanted to have many budgies, but I knew I couldn't afford that. Instead, I began researching budgies. I saved my money and bought an 8-foot aviary, complete with a safety compartment. I am interested in cabinet breeding when I get older budgies. I have a heart for yellow faces and spangles. I look forward to meeting everyone!
