  1. Not sure that I remember what to expect. My little boy was already very friendly and seemed semi-tame when I got him yesterday, he learned step-up in about five minutes and happily wandered my room, occassionally going into his cage but willing to step out as soon as I opened the door. However, when night rolled around, I couldn't get him to sleep at all. His dropping were very runny. He does not seem to have slept since he's dozing off a bit right now, his droppings are still runny, and he hasn't touched his food or water. He's also suddenly scared of me, even though yesterday he was fine. I highly doubt he is sick, I am thinking it is still just him being nervous, but is there anything I should be wary of?
  2. Thanks (: I'm pretty sure he is. Its only in photos that he seems to get a glare of some sort, which I worry might make him look female, I tried to get clear shots but it proved difficult!

  4. http://hphotos-snc3.fbcdn.net/hs035.snc3/1...0_4997802_n.jpg Please excuse my face being in the picture. This is Noah. This cere is solid pink, no white, very evenly colored and smooth. I just got him today. I was pretty sure I had identified him as male but I just want verification.
  5. Thank you! I've been looking at all the previous posts and trying to guess the sex before looking at everyone's answers, and I think I'm getting the hang of it
  6. Thank you, I hadn't noticed, I should have looked harder. What is the main difference between baby hens and baby boys? I notice some of the girls seem to have lighter ceres with a slight ring around the nostrils, but I saw that on a few baby boys as well.
  7. While growing up I owned several budgies, all of which passed away after living long and healthy lives, and all of which were females. Now, I am finally going to get a new budgie, and I'm thinking I would like to get a male, for a slightly different experience. However, I want to get a handfed baby, which will obviously be too young for the cere to have changed colors, and I'm not experienced at sexing young budgies. If you guys could teach me a bit about it so that I might be able to pick out a male, please, do tell! Any pictures as examples or just descriptions would be great!
