  4. I had a look at the eggs and i know that you said not touch them but i wasn't sure of the colour so i took one out so i could have a look closer with the torch. Inside there seemed to be about 3/4 a darker substance with the rest being a bubble. I'm not too sure if the darker substance might just be yolk?? Also what will happen now that i have touched the egg?? Hope i haven't upset the mum too much!! Also if the eggs arn't viable would the hen be upset if they were removed?
  5. Hi everyone. I'm a beginner breeder and am just wondering if anyone knows how to tell if eggs that have been laid are viable? I have an olive green cock and hen and they started courting as soon as i put them together. My hen has laid 5 eggs in total and she has been sitting on them for awhile now. The cock is feeding her and she only occasionally comes out of the nest box. I just think it is coming up to 3 weeks that the eggs have been in there and i'm just wondering if there is a way to tell if there are baby budgies happening inside the eggs?? I don't want to remove them if they do contain babies!!!! Help please!!
