  1. The area looks pretty clean as far as I can tell and he doesn't appear to be in any pain. He has lots of energy and eats well and everything. I had a branch from outside in their cage. I can't really tell if their are mites in it but I threw it out anyway. I'm going to try the white cloth thing tonight because I'm worried about the black spots on his head. I tried to pick one off but he won't let me. Should I try harder? I don't want to stress him out unless its for a good cause. Good news is it hasn't gotten any worse today. Thank you all again for your advice. Becky
  2. I can't figure out how to post a picture. I tried to add a picture of him as my personal picture but the site won't let me. It's telling me to contact an administrator. In the meantime I'll try to explain it a little better. He's losing more feathers. Now there's a bald spot on the top of his head. It looks red and sore. I'll have to take him back to that same vet tomorrow, there are no avian vets anywhere near here. I wouldn't mind going in with a bit of advice, so thank you for trying to get back to me so quick, and any advice would be greatly appreciated! His temperament seems fine which is good. He has little black spots on his head, although he's had these before. It looks like (please forgive me for having no idea what this is called and for my terrible explanation)... the little spikes that birds get, that they normally clean off of each other, but the two other birds in the family don't clean his head, and he won't let me do it either (their not very tame). Thats about all I can think of two describe him for now. I'll keep working on getting a picture up.
  3. I woke up this morning to find my budgie's ears exposed! It seemed to happen overnight on both ears. He's been acting normal, eating well. There was a bit of ruckus (sp?) in the cage last night but nothing major. I've taken one of my other budgies (three live together) to the local vet for loss of feathers on his legs. The vet found nothing wrong?? I'm worried something is spreading between them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Becky
