hey, ive got another question to ask but i'll make it quick recently after reading on the forums that sometimes breeders can breed parents with the offspring which can cause illness in budgies, i was wondering if theres anyway to tell if you're looking at a bird with any defects, is there are way to know? I'm not so sure now about buying birds from pet shops in perth just incase the birds were bred with their parents. Another question are there any good places in Perth to buy budgies from that are actually looked after and kept in good condition?

just another question, because I hear that it is not a good idea to start breeding budgies under the age of one, does that mean that you cannot purchase a young male and female and put them together if you buy them from the same place, because they will breed wether you want them to or not? or can you put a cock and hen under the age of one together if bought from the same place? thanks,

hmmmm, well then i have three more questions to ask, how do you tell if a budgie is in peak condition mainly breeding wise or does that just depend on age? How can you tell if an egg is fertile or not? and what do you need to do if some eggs are abandoned by the hen or the pair? or if an egg is rejected?

hi, i've got another question to ask and that is, is it very difficult to breed budgies? is it as simple as putting a hen and a cock in a decent sized cage with a nesting box and that's it? or does it depend on the bonding between the pair? thanks, shouldn' have too many more questions to ask

hi, im introducing myself and our pet budgie, rocky who is a male blue budgy that we 've owned for around 2 and a half years and had since he was a baby, he was bought hand reared so he was mostly tame when we bought him. If I can i'll put a picture of him in the post, however its not the best picture. I do have some questions about birds budgies mostly of course but i probably won't ask them here, however someday i would be interested in budgie breeding as a hobby however with 1 or 2 pairs of budgies (not with rocky of course because he may no longer pay attention to any of us if he were put with a female), so one question that i'll ask now is, is it very difficult to breed budgies if you have one pair male and female with a cage and nesting box? Thanks, P.S. another question rocky shows some pretty weird behaviour and often tries to mate with people's hands and seems to get very excited when he does, is it normal for a budgie to try mate with humans?
