I love chicks at that stage.... actually, I love them at any stage.

I had somebody telling somebody their white bird with red eyes and no markings was a 'white recessive'. They also said that true albinos have blue-purple eyes.

I went away and the person that looked after them only gave them seeds. Marigold is fat, the others are pretty good. Trouble is, Marigold doesn't fly as much as she should and she is picky. The person who was looking after them gave them a bunch a sunflower seed.

Thanks! I can actually sympathise with your head. Marigold gets curious when I'm in the cage. She crawls all over me. Which would be okay, except I can't completely block up the cage door so..... More videos tomorrow. I'll get one of them fighting over the syringe.

My budgies need to lose weight. Marigold is a bit...... fat.

They were suspisious because I was filming them, lol. Thimble has a blue rump, yep. I sold Dude, now renamed Jiggles. Chubba Chubs is the green tailed one. Lex is the opaline. She is weird. She actually thinks before she does something, I HAVE to get a clip of her greeting me. Lexi is posessive of my hand, according to her, it is HER hand.

Aren't sunflower seeds high in fat?

Same here. I have had a person asking me what to do when their budgie laid an egg. (Friend) I asked, where did it lay it? They either have a nest box or 'snugglehut' in there. The egg wasn't fertile as no male. Recently I had somebody telling me all about these budgies she was going to adopt. The cage was second hand, had holes in it big enough to strangle a budgie. She proceeded to tell me she had a comfy 'box' on the floor for them to sleep in. I replied that budgies will not sleep on the floor unless they are seriously ill most of the time. She said she would put one off the ground then. I told her that birds sleep on perches, not inside boxes. She said, okay, I have some metal poles lying about. Gasp! She had no idea of what to feed them either. I gave her a list. I would help you throttle the guy who produces 'snugglehuts', Kaz. Gladly!

Yes, I sold one. Still get regular updates. Lexi could be cobalt or sky but the opaline pales it. I have to weight for dinner time to video them. Marigold is overweight so they are going on a diet. Skye is a bit heavier but I'm not worried about him so much because he is a great flyer.

I will get some more videos of them. I have some of them making pigs of themselves at dinner. The first two are Marigold and Skye, the mum and dad. The rest are siblings.Thanks! I once saw my budgies try to eat a wasp! It was weird watching them try to catch it while they were flying. They were fascinated!

It is natural. Moulting is not an illness, it just requires more rest.

They look great! I'm gradually learning about show budgies in my own time but still can't tell the difference between a good bird and an okay bird. They don't have any flecking, am I right? :fear
