Hi there everyone, my name is Grace and I bought my budgie 'Minty' from the local markets back in March. I was told by the seller that he was about three months old. I wanted to tame him and hopefully he would talk. BUT, after a while he started looking very thin and was vomiting into his food bowl. His beak also started looking crusty and he stopped singing. We took him to the vet and $250 later he died with canker and scaly mites which could only have come with the bird when I bought him. I was very sad. Now I am looking for a reputable breeder with healthy birds so I can replace Minty. I would like to find a young male in either blue or violet colouring. A nice friendly bird I can tame and hopefully teach him to talk. I live in Sydney and would appreciate hearing from anyone who can help. This is Minty looking in the mirror
