    I have just paired these two up. She has begun laying eggs after only being in the cabinet for a day! Hopefully he had time to do the job! What can I expect out of these two?

    Really? I have never removed a shell egg. Mum's often eat the egg, as it increases their calcium. Little ones may chew at the egg. I know I have never heard of it catching on other eggs, and I have never ever removed one.Yes really.....................the egg shells wrap around other eggs, are hard to see and prevent the egg hatching. If not eaten in the first half day remove is the best option. Chick has plum eyes, and that indicates a cinnamon chick in most cases. What are the parents ? The cock is cinnamon and the hen is similar to the cock in the first picture. Except it isnt pied, it has a grey green body. Sorry still learning my colours and mutations

    My 3 year old daughter and I have just started breeding budgies. Got some birds of a workmate who is a keen breeder of show birds. Will add some more photos of other birds as I get them. Any comments about my birds good or bad most welcome! More Birds.........
