The big chick does have red eyes! Lol when I held him up to sun I could see red and it also has green coming trough on its back Youngest one looks like black eyes though

I'll pick him up tomorrow and have a decent look

The mum is the one in the box i have photo'd here I can get a clearer photo of her in the morning & dad is the all yellow one that's photo'd on the first page

Thanks guys I've just got home, I went to townsville on Thursday, I've noticed I need to trim her bottom beak it looks like its grown again, but all over she looks and acts a lot more happy. I'm waiting on my stepdad an brother to get here, they are helping me move one avairy, the hen who was on eggs that were fertile and about ready to hatch has kicked them all out and I think its due to the heat so I've removed the breeding box's and getting dad to help move the avairy to the back of the house where there is more shade The hen ( different avairy)that had 3 chicks wen I left is now down to two, not sure what happened to the middle chick but looks like it was squashed a bit, the oldest chick is now getting lots of feathers and looks like it will be all yellow like dad

Far out! Caught out again. Was ment to get 3 female and 2 male off a breeder last week but ended up with 3 male & 2 female. Got this one today to make up numbers as a female but if your right then now I have another male

I " google" for ages before posting on here an trying to breed and turns out in still clueless!! Haha I bought 3 females and two males from a breeder in town but I'm certain there are two females and 3 males lol I'll take some photos in natural light tomorrow and get your expert opinion lol

Thanks sunshine I was very excited aswell then thought maybe it was my fault for disturbing the nest as it was hatching? I just checked again and there is another chick, I'm now totally amazed at how fast they grow as it is tiny compared to the older one!! Lol

You know what , I'm not actually sure what colour eyes she has lol I think red? I'll look when I get home. I've already put ivamectin on them They have natural branches and calcium bells and cuttle bones, her bottom beak is still a little odd, it's still kinda points out to the side but not half as bad. They all came out of breeding cabnets in a darker type shed I was hoping they would pick up being in an avairy, I bought them silver beat today I hope they like it

Thanks Wayne, Yep I know its too late to seperate them now I was just thinking about in the future, I'd like to do it properly & put pairs in cages to breed, was hoping to do that with my new birds that are in quarantine as the pairs I have now seem very much in love with their partners lol Yep blackwater qld weather isn't too bad at the present but as u know it does get bloody hot up here lol Also the bird I have that is on a nest of four eggs, she hatched a chick 4 days ago it was and still is heathy, growing great, I checked at midnight last night and another was in the process of hatching but I just checked again now and its dead I'll put a photo up, wondering if u can give ideas on why its dead, the first chick is massive compared to the dead one Thanks I think my first post might not of been clear, I ment my pairs that are on eggs now I let them into an avairy & they picked their own pairs then I moved two pairs out so my question was how to pick pairs myself & get them to bond as previously I only let them pick thief own pairs., any of they make sense? She has calcium bell and cuttle fish, one of the other budgies love it but odd ball and the others are not too fazed with them lol These are first first budgies since I was a kid ( my pet budgie died when I was 8 I'm now 23 lol) my first budgie rocca was a character too, I got these budgies " fort kids" but I've kinda taken over now hahaha I was shocked as *** when I peered into the nest and seen it hatching!! The mum ( and dad) both so far seem to be terrific parents I freaked out when I seen bub hatching and put the nest back, I would of liked to watch it but mumma is very protective and I didn't want to upset her, I'll take another peek in the morning though For my kids* auto correct & sleepy doesn't mix
