Hello I have a budgie that may have a broken foot or ankle...it is eating and drinking fine but has trouble standing up on i'ts right foot...the foot is curled under and she can't open it out to hold on to the perch. We saw her the other night sitting on the floor of the aviary and we have seperated her to a small cage but I don't know what to do now?? Will I take her to the vet or is there something I can do at home?. Thanks Candice

Hello I am very excited as I have just installed a new avairy and was wondering what sort of perches you would recommend. I have previously only had cages which come fully equipped. Would dowel rods be okay or should we use native tree branches? What's the best way to attach them to the sides of the avairy as it is has colourbond back and sides? Hope you can help. Hello I am new to this so I hope someone can help me?..I have ordered a new avairy and was planning it to face south in the garden, however I was reading last night a Bourke's Backyard book and he suggested the avairy should always face north as the budgies need the northern aspect sun or they will be unhappy? I can do this but they will be out of sight and away from the house. What is the best thing to do..The south facing area is also more shady. :hap: Thanks Candice
