Oh yes they were definitely strays......hissing & clawing as soon as you went near the trap!! Wasn't good....haha!! There are still a couple more roaming around, so fingers crossed they find the trap!! I'd known cats were prolific breeders but....5 litters a year????? Gosh!!

Hi all, Hoping someone can tell me what mutation this cock bird is?? I've had him for about 4-5 weeks now & he was bought from a pet shop. He has very fine/faint grey?? markings on his wings & head (almost invisible)!! Hopefully my pictures will work okay (first attempt)?? Thanks in advance Fingers crossed the pics worked??

Sure Daz, His name is Robin Hood (real name..lol)!! He lives out at Gracemere & I have bought a total of 6 budgies from him plus the little Cock bird he gave me. A very knowledgeable man who has been breeding budgies for 40 years. He has the most beautiful Rainbow, a mutation I have never seen before. Although I'm not sure he has much to do with the local Club anymore?? Thanks

Hi, My name is Kerry from North Rockhampton QLD & I joined a couple of days ago although I have been reading your forum as a guest for the last 2 weeks & have thoroughly enjoyed the wealth of knowledge!! I am not a breeder as yet, although I hope to be in the future. I just picked up my 11th, 12th & 13th budgies from a local show breeder yesterday. A Cinnamon Grey-Green Hen, a Grey-Green Spangle Cock (which I'm told is split for Lutino, Lacewing & Texas Clearbody). Plus a poor little 3 Mth old Grey-Green Cock that was picked on by his parents & is missing quite a few feathers !! Unfortunately when is comes to Genetics my brain is a bit like a seive :sad: !! Hopefully this will improve with time (I hope..lol) I don't have any pictures available but once I can work out how to post them I will give it a go!! I look forward to talking to other Members & trying to educate myself!! Thank-you, Kerry
