Female Budgie Is Nasty To Male
Hi there Our 2 budgies Lucy and Olly have been in the same cage now for around 6 months and think they both went through a molt and maturity both in the same cage and all was fine except for Olly who used to lick the bars But lately Lucy has turned nasty she attacks Olly when he isnt looking and if he goes by a food bowl she will go for him we have always made sure there are more than 1 food bowl in the cage and the same goes for the water bowl too Olly seems to much of a gent to have a go back at her it seems although he will protect himself though Any help or ideas please as I feel that lucy may hurt Olly

Licking The Bars Of Cage?
okay is this normal We have 2 budgies Lucy and Olly Lucy is fine she seems to have settled after maturity very nicely As for Olly he is the nightmare of the 2 He is constantly fighting with lucy. When he struts around the cage she just ignores him. but now olly has gotten into licking the bars of the cage and have seen him licking the perches they sit on. we have 3 ordinary perches and 2 branch perches. Anyone have any ideas whats going on. Is this him going through bird puberty or just plain weird behaviour

okay have removed all shiny things have also had to cover his feeders as we noticed he danced to them aswell so hopefully he may settle and now he is bouncing from perch to perch I assume looking for the one in the reflection But i think he may either be getting his first malt or he is coming of maturity they both are young birds only 26-32 weeks old I had forgotten how it was when I had them before with my dad

I should aslo point out that they are both in the same cage. Been a long long time since I had budgies that i had forgotten that part. Would it matter to lucy if they were removed?

Is This Normal?
okay we have 2 lovely budgies Lucy and Ollie. I have been training lucy now to the point where she will sit on my shoulder as I walk around the room. But Ollie is my partners budgie she has been training him. She followed what I did with lucy but hes now turning into a biter he bites both me and lisa. Now heres the worrying thing he loves his bell and mirror and yes he licks them i mean the mirror is disgusting with drool. and if lucy goes near either the bell or mirror he goes into sqwuaking mode on her and barges her out the way and then she nips him on the wing. They get on great outside the cage and love the big perch(curtain pole) and the fan blades on the light. Is this normal behaviour for ollie licking the bell and the mirrors?
