  1. Is he a normal green? I love his colors.
  2. The safest bet if I have one male and one female is to add another male, correct? Two females would most likely fight over the male? Or will two males fight over the female too? Or is the only safe to add 3 budgies of the same sex in a large cage?
  3. Here they are. I know the picture is a little dark and not the best again, but you can totally tell the different cere color. Plus, the green budgie is way more vocal. I go with MALE and FEMALE. Am I right? Their names are PeterPan (normal green/male) and Tinkerbell (blue, yellow face/female) Aren't they cuuuutttteeee??

As much time as I spend with my new little female budgie. I think she is a bit bored, and I do worry about her while I'm at school or when I go out and leave her alone. She is still young so I'm thinking it will probably be less troublesome if I get her a budgie friend now, right? I should probably choose a young male, correct? Cos I hear two females together can fight, or is that wrong? And in case of a male, I can keep them in separate cages, next to each other and allow them time out of their cages to play together. Is that okay? Looking for some advice, thanks

How often do they get hormonal or in breeding condition? I mean the times they get the crusty brown cere and get all moody. How often does that happen? 4 times a year or so? Or I'm totally off ? Just curious
  9. How many hours a day do you usually spend with your single budgie to keep it tame? On weekends you probably spend more time with them, right? Doesn't that "spoil" their routine? Have you considered or want to get a budgie friend or you are sticking to one budgie only? Is it okay to leave your budgie cage by the window, safely, not direct sun light or anything, while you are not home, at school/work, for instance? So your budgie can see outside and hear other birds and stuff. So it won't feel as lonely.
  10. Better now?? Natural day light. No flash. It's cere is a little dirty, I'm giving him some time to adjust and don't want to over do it the first few days. It's a hard one? Or I'm just too new at this? lol
  11. Awwwwww they are so cute! Thank you for sharing Yeah I think mine, whether it's a boy or a girl, will be one of the sweet ones I do plan on spending lots of quality time with it Thanks again

  13. I just got a new really young budgie, not sure if it's a male or a female yet. Question is... if its a she, then, will it grow older to be moody and all that? Because it's sweet as pie now but it's still really young. Yes I will make sure I'll hold it and tame it every day, but I was just wondering Looking for advice cos there seems to be a lot of really experienced budgie people here thanks

Any experts would like to try sexing my new budgie? I say it's a boy, because his cere actually looks PINK, I tried to take a good picture of it, but the flash was messing it up. I'll try again in the morning. I just got him today from the petstore and he's such a sweet baby, look at him on my finger already I'm really happy this blurry picture actually gives a better idea of the real color of his cere.
