i have a tree in my back yard..... He loves bottlebrush, millet and honey treats....not so keen on the fresh fruit and veg..... have to keep trying with them.

well i gave my budgie some bottle brush today and wow did he have a ball.... Now for the clean up haha

Thank You. That is very helpful...... I think my bird is moulting now. Although i only got him on saturday, they thought he was between 12 and 16 weeks. He looks like he is moulting, has some patches. Would explain the biting, although, he is still scared too.

Hey, Just wondering when do budgies first moult and how often after that?

Hello All, I have just recently (Sat) purchased a green budgie, Percy. I am soooo new at this and need all the advice i can get. He seems scared, doesnt do much. But today has chirped more than ive heard him before.... He eats from his hanging cone but i havnt seen him drink or eat his seed from his bowl......... what can i do to make him like me? i really want him to be a great tame friend for my daughter.... When i cover him at night i dont hear a peep from him. If we go near the cage during day he flies to back top of cage.......................... Im hoping to gain alot of information on here to settle my budgie and give him a great life...... Nice meeting you all.
