    Purchasing A 'winter' Budgie!

    curious posted a topic in General Questions About Budgies
    Hi, I am looking at buying a hand raised baby male budgie as a pet for inside the house. My Dad (who bred budgies many eons ago) told me it was best to buy a budgie that is born during the winter months, but couldn't tell me why!? (I live in North Brisbane) Has anyone else heard of this?? What is the best age to buy a young budgie to have as a pet? Many thanks. Curious
