  1. yes i can see the black marks on the head as well so not DF spangle. Should see some colour on the wings as well soon, i agree with Dave with the Opaline look to the chick.
  2. yes the chicks are very noisy, next time you check look for a yellow blob just under the beak and you will know that mum is feeding it. You may have the 2nd chick a little sooner than the average 2 days as the hen normally doesn't start sitting on the eggs until she has a few. Actions of mum and dad sound normal.
  3. without pics i would think males too the blue might be due to the age and the ceres changing to the adult colouring.
  4. chicks match for the clear flight pied gene, but i would have called him a normal dominant pied. All are dark green except for Chick 2 she would be light green
  5. i didn't state that i was 100% that he was DF just it is possible. i would want to see more chicks over other breedings too before saying for sure. and i forgot about the cere as well
  6. throat spots look cinnamon not grey so i think you are correct, shots with the tail can help.
  7. the two gene would lessen the yellow bleed into the body colour, usually making a patchy look. She looks like a normal gf.
  8. he has some signs of being DF and as all three chicks are dom.pied gives more weight to that belief.
  9. i agree the yellow rec. pied is male the other two are female
  10. I was just looking at him Squeak. I wouldn't mind having him in my aviary. they are looking good
  11. the fact there is a white faced baby in this clutch means the cock isn't a df yf1.
  12. Yes, I know that. But as they are numbered too and Jack isnt a show breeder, maybe he can use them. i just got the impression that he wanted non-split ones. not just numbers.
  13. sorry but it states "all rings are split" in the add.
  14. yes a better picture is needed, it could just be poor markings or the fact that the bird is still young and so still has the pale tones of baby feathers.
  15. 1 - Double Factor spangle male 2 - sky blue spangle 3 - sky blue spangle (same bird?) 4 - grey-green normal 5 - grey-green normal (same bird?)
  16. i'm in agreement with Nubby

welcome spangles and yellowfaces are great mutations.
  18. just because one is breeding will not set the others off if they are in a separate cage.
  19. mine love to eat the leafes before the carrot bit whenever i got ones with them on still
  20. he looks wonderful.
  21. nice birds there
  22. plenty of people have quails in with their birds. I've never heard of the budgies attacking them. I believe there was a post on here about a budge that rode around on a quail.
  23. good luck with him Kaz let us know the progress
