i dunno maybe 2 months not sure i have never owned one before only cockatiels

my mothers father gave it to me about a week after buying it because it couldnt move around in his aviary. i dont have any perches in its cage. Sometimes i think its dead because it looks so bad. Im taking it to the vet on friday.

I just been given a budgie, its only young but has all its feathers. I think there is something wrong with it because it can't fly or get to any perches, it just stays on the bottom of the cage. It sleeps majority of the time with its legs sticking out either side of its body. It also lays on its back with its legs in the air and always has its head to one side. Does anyone have any information please.
